Trick to get the sum row wise or column wise

    Row-wise or Column-wise Sum Using a Shortcut: Select the range of numbers in the table that you want to sum (either a column or a row, or even multiple columns or rows). Press the Alt key on your keyboard. After pressing Alt , press the +   = key . This is the AutoSum shortcut. If you're summing a column , Excel will automatically fill the cell directly below the selected range with the sum of that column. If you're summing a row , Excel will automatically fill the cell directly to the right of the selected range with the sum of that row.   The AutoSum feature ( Alt + = ) automatically sums numbers in a contiguous range of cells.

    Freezing headings in Excel helps you keep column titles or row headers visible while scrolling through large data sets.  

 

A.        Freeze Top Row (Heading) – Keyboard Shortcut

 

 Steps:
1. Open  Excel worksheet
2. Select the cell directly below the heading row
   (Example: If headings are in **Row 1**, select **A2**)
3. Press the shortcut keys:
Alt + W + F + F
The top row is now frozen and will remain visible when you scroll down.

 

 
B.   Freeze First Column

 

 Steps:
1. Select any cell in  Column B
2. Press:
Alt + W + F + C
The first column will stay visible while scrolling horizontally.

 

 
C. Freeze Rows and Columns Together

 

To freeze  both headings and side columns:
Example:
 
* Headings in Row 1
* Labels in Column A
Steps:
1. Select cell  B2
2. Press:
Alt + W + F + F
Rows above and columns to the left of the selected cell are frozen

 Unfreeze Panes (Remove Freeze)
To remove all frozen panes:
Alt + W + F + U
