Trick to get the sum row wise or column wise

Row-wise or Column-wise Sum Using a Shortcut: Select the range of numbers in the table that you want to sum (either a column or a row, or even multiple columns or rows). Press the Alt key on your keyboard. After pressing Alt , press the +   = key . This is the AutoSum shortcut. If you're summing a column , Excel will automatically fill the cell directly below the selected range with the sum of that column. If you're summing a row , Excel will automatically fill the cell directly to the right of the selected range with the sum of that row.   The AutoSum feature ( Alt + = ) automatically sums numbers in a contiguous range of cells.

How to Hide Formulas in Excel

How to Hide Formulas in Excel

Hiding formulas in Excel is an easy way to protect your calculations while still allowing others to view and use your spreadsheet. When formulas are hidden, users can see the calculated results but cannot view the formulas in the Formula Bar.

Step-by-Step Guide

Step 1: Select the Formula Cells

Select the cells that contain the formulas you want to hide.

Step 2: Open the Format Cells Window

1.      Right-click the selected cells.

2.      Click Format Cells.

3.      Open the Protection tab.

Step 3: Hide the Formulas

1.      Tick the Hidden checkbox.

2.      Make sure the Locked checkbox is also selected if you want to prevent users from editing the formulas.

3.      Click OK.

Note: The formulas are now marked as hidden, but they will not be hidden until you protect the worksheet.

Step 4: Protect the Worksheet

1.      Go to the Review tab.

2.      Click Protect Sheet.

3.      (Optional) Enter a password to prevent unauthorised users from removing the protection.

4.      Choose the actions you want to allow users to perform.

5.      Click OK.

Your formulas are now hidden. When someone selects a formula cell, only the calculated value will be displayed, and the formula will not appear in the Formula Bar.

How to Unhide Formulas

If you want to view or edit the formulas again, follow these steps:

1.      Go to the Review tab.

2.      Click Unprotect Sheet.

3.      Enter the password, if prompted.

4.      Select the cells containing the formulas.

5.      Right-click and choose Format Cells.

6.      Open the Protection tab.

7.      Clear the Hidden checkbox.

8.      Click OK.

9.      Protect the worksheet again if you want to keep it secure.
